Our impact chain

We do not expect a single app session to cause apprenticeship completion. The plausible chain starts smaller: clearer options, better questions, a planned reality test and more informed conversations. Application and transition outcomes can be considered later, with the many external influences they contain.

Claims we will not make

If 70 per cent of a pilot group open a resource, we have observed use—not better decisions. If participants then formulate clearer questions, that may be a learning signal but is not causal impact without a suitable design. Reports state that boundary explicitly.

• No causality from before-and-after alone.

• No success rate without denominator and participation context.

• No hiding non-use or dropout.

• No changing the main question afterwards to manufacture success.
